With multidisciplinary collaboration at an all-time high and a clear trend toward integrating services as a means to maximize patient care, providers and consumers increasingly demand information on and access to a wide array of complementary health care options. Beginning in February, they can visit the Integrated Wellness Pavilion, which is being offered for the first time at the Spa & Resort Expo / Medical Aesthetics Conference & Expo in Los Angeles.

Plans are in the works to include the pavilion at the Spa & Resort Expo / Medical Aesthetics Conference & Expo in New York City in October 2009 and at other future events.

The Integrated Wellness Pavilion puts four distinct health professions in a single area of the show floor: naturopathic medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and massage therapy. Combined with the larger spa and medical esthetician expo, attendees have true wellness integration at their fingertips.

The pavilion will feature speakers and vendors representing each of the four professions. Anticipated course offerings include integration strategies, revenue potential in an integrated practice, and presentations on specific massage and acupuncture techniques. There will also be 30-minute lectures on the exhibit floor within the pavilion. Attendees can select specific courses of interest or purchase a full-day or multi-day pass and attend multiple courses.
