Spring Symposium on Somato-Visceral Interactions A two-day symposium of particular interest to naturopaths, entitled "Somato-Visceral Interactions and Autonomic Mechanisms of Manual Therapy," will be held March 31-April 1, 2008 in Fort Worth, TX. This interdisciplinary event will be held at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and is coordinated by the Osteopathic Research Center (ORC). The symposium will immediately follow the American Academy of Osteopathy Convocation, held in Dallas, March 26-30, 2008.Presentations will focus on current research showing the impact of manual therapy on physiologic processes and systemic disease. In addition, research regarding the effects of massage on the release of hormones and insulin will be presented.
